Photo Adventure No.49: Canadian International Autoshow 2016

The hot wheels rolled into town this week for the Canadian International Autoshow in Toronto. Cadillac's new CT6 with it's 32 speaker Bose Panaray audio was my pick of the show. Deadmau5's pixelated Lamborghini was part of the Stars & Cars exhibit. The Art of the Automobile displayed some lavish Art Deco styled cars from the past. There was also a special tribute to the 500th running on the Indy 500 with some Jacques Villeneuve and Scott Goodyear Can-con. PIX

Travelogue No.39: Vegas Baby! Las Vegas, NV

Roll the dice. Play the game. It's what Las Vegas is all about. There is no shortage of things to do and see on The Strip but you must choose wisely since all options are not of the same entertainment value. If you see one show while you are there, make it The Beatles: Love Cirque Du Soleil. I have a hard time expressing how incredible it is. The music, the costumes, the stage, the acrobatics are all absolutely mind blowing. Light up your life on a night tour of the Neon Sign Museum. After that you can go to Freemont St. and Container Park. If you like golf, practice your putts at the KISS Glow In The Dark Monster Mini Golf.

Photo Adventure No.48: Warhol Revisited

Warhol Revisited , an exhibit of Andy Warhol prints, is on display at the Revolver Gallery's Toronto Location. There are some cool pieces to be seen. Classic Campbell's Soup cans and techno coloured pop art screen prints. Some of the crowd favourites were Annie Oakley, General Custer & of course Marilyn Monroe. PIX

Travelogue No.38 : Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba

As the clock ticked at the office I felt myself thinking back to my vacation in Cuba. Cayo Santa Maria has one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. Other Caribbean or Mediterranean spots don't even measure up. Soft, white sand between your toes. Shallow, warm waters and cold drinks. PIX

Foodie Favourites No.22: El Catrin Destileria

Today I rode down to the Distillery District for some Gobernador tacos at El Catrin Destileria . This place is pretty good. It's a little pricey for small portions but the flavours were bold. The Jalisco Mule I had to drink  delivered a good kick and the Cuban mojito was a hit too. I'd like to try more of the menu some other time. PIX

Foodie Favourites No.21: Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery

The hype is real. At least I'm buying it after going to Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery. There are long lines and sometimes you may have to wait even longer just to get one of those Hong Kong style waffle cones (why do they have only one waffle maker?) but the wait is worth it. Not only was the cinnamon toast ice cream fantastic but the ginger molasses cookies smooshing it together were soft and tasty too. I'm probably going back to try everything else. PIX

Cappuccino Caper No.09: Broadview Espresso

As I was cycling home today I stumbled upon Broadview Espresso. As anyone that knows me is aware, I am a huge coffee snob. I gave up on the brown water stuff that most drink after spending time in Italy. Espresso is where it's at people in case you didn't know already. There are a ton of cafes in Toronto to choose from but most places are pushing a single bean. My tastebuds tell me that a blend of roasted beans is what sets apart the good from the great and Broadview Espresso has vaulted itself to Number #1 on my list of must try espressos. Go get some!
