Neil Young wrote some of his best works in Malibu. It`s easy to see how anyone could lose track of time while being inspired by the scenery. Wind swept beaches and psychedelic sunsets. We had a light dinner at Geoffrey`s. There was a power outage in town but it came on once we arrived so we had the place to ourselves. A privilege not many celebrities might even get;) Santa Monica`s iconic pier was a flashing beacon of light as should be expected. And shopping on the 3rd st. Promenade was only steps away from our crazy, cool suite at The Shangri La . A free upgrade upon check in. I guess I looked famous.
On our way out we stopped by Venice Beach. It's a pretty sketchy strip but I did enjoy the skateboard culture. My car was adorned with a souvenir parking ticket when I got back to the car. I thought the sign meat I could park free for two hours. Free parking...who was I kidding?
